Misty Mist Resort

The brief

Misty Mist Resort is a hill-station property at Kakkadampoyil — high humidity, heavy monsoon, and a guest experience that depends on lighting and hot water simply working. The client wanted the full electrical installation done to a standard where the wiring, the earthing and the panel work would survive the climate rather than be patched every season.

What we did

• Laid out the 3-phase LT distribution from the service point to a main panel, with sub-DBs feeding the guest blocks, the kitchen and the utility area separately
• Wired guest room distribution boards with RCBO protection on socket and geyser circuits — the single most common failure point in a wet-climate resort
• Provided heavy-duty circuits for the kitchen block: cooking equipment, exhaust, refrigeration and the water heating load, each on its own protection
• Ran the pump and overhead-tank circuits with motor protection and float control, and kept the pump house on a dedicated earthing pit
• Installed exterior pathway and landscape lighting with IP-rated fittings, weatherproof junction boxes and gland entries throughout
• Executed the earthing system with separate pits for the main panel and the equipment earth, tested and brought within acceptable resistance limits

Outcome

Installed, tested, and handed over with a complete documentation file for KSEB and the Electrical Inspectorate.
