Shafi Dawakhana Ayurvedic Wellness Centre

The brief

Shafi Dawakhana at Chelavoor is a wellness centre where most of the building is wet: treatment rooms, steam and oil therapy areas, and washrooms, all in daily use. The client needed an installation that is safe under those conditions, keeps consultation and treatment areas on a supply that survives an outage, and gives the pharmacy and equipment a clean earth.

What we did

• Segregated the distribution into essential and non-essential circuits, so consultation rooms, treatment areas and corridor lighting stay live through a power cut while general loads drop off
• Wired every treatment room, steam room and washroom circuit behind RCBO protection, with IP-rated fittings and sealed gland entries throughout the wet zones
• Installed the 3-phase LT distribution with a main panel and area-wise sub-DBs — treatment block, reception and pharmacy, and utility each on their own feeder
• Provided a dedicated low-resistance earth pit for treatment and pharmacy equipment, kept independent of the general body earth
• Ran the hot water, boiler and pump circuits on dedicated protected feeders with motor protection and level control
• Set up UPS-backed circuits for reception, records and equipment that cannot tolerate a break, with changeover arrangement for the essential bus

Outcome

Installed, tested, and handed over with a complete documentation file for KSEB and the Electrical Inspectorate.
